Thanks for all your support throughout 2011.
This year I have experienced an exciting period of growth, in my game and also in my rankings. In July, I won my first ATP point in the UK and in September I reached my first ITF Futures ¼ finals in Mexico. My current ATP ranking is 1174 and my national Ranking has improved from No. 35 to No.5 (No.2 for North Harbour).
Since being back in New Zealand I have played Scarbro Caro Bowl for Parnell Lawn Tennis Club where we reached the semi finals. During the Caro Bowl season I went to Australia for two weeks and played two ITF tournaments. Unfortunately I ended up with a throat infection, but I did play the No 2 seed James Lemke, ranked 298 from Australia but had to retire in the third set. Next I played the money tournaments and got to the semi final in both.
To continue to work toward my goals for 2012, I will be travelling back to Europe and the US, leaving early 2012 (hopefully January). After travelling most of the last 2 years alone, I hope to spend some time travelling with my coach.
I am looking forward to getting back into it in 2012.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Kind regards
Anton Bettink
